I’ve got events at two wonderful festivals coming up, and am hoping to meet lots of lovely readers and their families.
Next Friday, 2nd June, I’ll be on stage at Hay Festival, talking about my new book A STORM OF STRAWBERRIES and leading some fun interactive activities based on empathy and how we can develop our own empathetic skills. It’s in association with the wonderful EmpathyLab and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m hoping lots of young people will come along and bring their families too – it’s suggested for age 9 upwards but really suitable for all! You can find out more and book tickets here.
Then on Sunday 4th June at 10am, I’ll be doing my Electrigirl event at Wychwood Festival on the Cheltenham racecourse. This will be my fourth year at Wychwood and I just KNOW I’m going to have a brilliant time. There’s an amazing line-up of authors over the whole three-day weekend, and you can find out who’s on here. As well as Electrigirl at 10am, I’ll be performing with my talented and awesome author buddy John Dougherty as the slimmed-down version of our First Draft band (Paul and Helen, the other half, are taking a break this year to start a flower farm!). That’ll be on at 3pm, so don’t go home early!
