OBA Patron

As of 2019, I am delighted to say I’m Patron of the Oxfordshire Book Awards! Having grown up in Appleton and lived in Long Hanborough and Kidlington as an adult , I feel a real kinship with the OBAs and have been attending the ceremonies for several years. As runner-up in 2015 with my novel Looking at the Stars, and as winner in 2017 with A Library of Lemons, I know how much fun and excitement the awards generate – along with a real enjoyment of reading and trying new books.

Below is my video for this year’s young judges, who have the impossible task of choosing this year’s three winners, in the Picture Book, Junior and Secondary category. Good luck to all the fantastic shortlisted authors and illustrators, and to the children who have the power in their hands!
