The Starlight Stables Gang is published!

Yup, I’m late posting this *facepalm* THE STARLIGHT STABLES GANG was published on 30th March and I’ve been meaning to blog ever since! However, I’ve been working very hard on book 3 in the series and revising book 2 (more on this later!) and so blogging kept being pushed aside…

Anyway! My lovely publisher Puffin sent me a beautiful bunch of flowers and Esme and I did a kind of virtual high-five through WhatsApp, and our brilliant publicists Chess and Victoria set up a blog tour of sites who reviewed the book, and I am SO grateful to everyone who has read and loved the book so far! Here are a few snippets of the kind reviews:

“The characters are really well written with sensitivity and understanding. Summer reminds me a bit of me. I love how kind all the adults are in the book…The book tackles a range of issues including mental health, estranged parents and Dyslexia, in a straightforward and non-intimidating way.” Green Reads Books

“This absolute gem of a book … beautifully written, I found myself being drawn straight into it and read it in one sitting! The authors impress with their diverse cast of characters and underlying themes of inclusion, friendship and empathy. An inspirational book that I will be adding to the recommended reads list for our KS2 children in school.” Claire @alwaystimeforastory

“The Starlight Stables Gang has everything you could want. Characters you can relate to, a mystery to solve, friendship, family dynamics, and representation and inclusion. A truly brilliant book from two very talented people.” Books We’ve Read And Loved blog

At the beginning of April, I held a little launch party at Standlake Equestrian Centre – thank you so much to Angela Jackson for being so accommodating! The sun shone and the horses were delightful (though they definitely didn’t like the bunting) and it was lovely to see some young fans.
