What I Did On My Summer Holidays #1: The Isle of Wight

Whew! It’s been a busy ol’ time this summer. I honestly, honestly, have not had time to blog. And when I’ve finished writing these posts, you’ll see why! Three big things have taken up my summer holidays: a trip away with my family, three festivals, and a whole load of writing!

But today I’m just going to start with a few photos of the lovely week I spent on the Isle of Wight with my parents, brother, husband and kids. We’ve been going to Ryde for four years now, and this was the first year it didn’t rain AT ALL! We love it there.

The sky was BLUE!!

...and ice cream! I always smile now when I see a 99 Flake (especially a big fake one!) because of the song I wrote last year called '99 Reasons to be Happy' and which we play in the author band First Draft.

Tomorrow: What I Did On My Summer Holidays #2: Festivals!

  1. I love the Isle of Wight. Mind you I didn’t go in the summer, but we all had a really good time and I would love to go back there.
