A ‘wafty’ story on a window seat

It’s been a slow day today. I’m tired and, having finished the first draft of a new book recently, am in that slightly in-between-projects stage. So I dug out a manuscript I finished in November last year and re-read it. It needs a re-write, but I’m fond of it (it’s what one of my writer friends might call ‘wafty’!) I don’t like reading whole manuscripts on the screen, so I printed it off and took it to our window seat. And in between reading, I planted some strawberry plants in the garden and played the piano. A slow day, but a good one.

Me, reading my 'wafty' story (that's a story begun without a real plot, just characters and an idea) on the window seat
